The Groom/CFX Artist is responsible for creating high quality hair, fur, feathers for characters and character-related 3D assets in a photorealistic or stylized manner for game cinematic projects.
Build and manage hair, fur, feathers dynamic rigs for simulations.
Good understanding of hair physics and movement for hair and fur simulations.
Complete character FX work on a shot-per-shot basis.
Check for and fix penetration and intersection problems.
Work well in a team in an efficient and timely manner, and keep to the production schedule.
Be creative and proactive in problem solving technical issues with all relevant department tools, suggesting improvements and optimizations if/when necessary.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and rapid turnaround times.
High-level attention to detail.
Requirements
2+ years of professional experience as a 3D artist or in a related job.
Background with Arts, Diploma or self-taught.
Strong knowledge of artistic anatomy.
Strong technical skills.
Knowledge of Maya, Xgen, Yeti, Unreal Engine and zbrush.
The ClothSim/CFX Artist is responsible for creating high quality cloth sim for characters and character-related 3D assets in a photorealistic or stylized manner for game cinematic projects.
Create a cloth rig and dynamic rig for simulations.
Good understanding of cloth physics and movement for cloth simulations.
Good understanding of hard surface movement for dynamic simulation. (exp : chain, wire and accessories).
Complete character FX work on a shot-per-shot basis.
Check for and fix penetration and intersection problems.
Work well in a team in an efficient and timely manner, and keep to the production schedule.
